Go4Schools

I am aware that there has been an issue with some pupils and parents/carers unable to access Go4Schools this week.  Our IT Team has been working closely with Go4Schools and we expect the matter be fully resolved by the end of Monday.  I apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused.

Open Evening

I just wanted to remind you that we will be holding our annual Open Evening on Thursday 17th September from 5.30pm to 8.00pm during which we will welcome Year 6 pupils and their parents/carers.  As usual and in order to allow staff to prepare for the event, pupils will be dismissed at 12.30pm on that day.

Thank you to everyone who has completed the Teams form providing consent for their child to participate in our Open Evening as a Tour Guide.  If you have not yet completed the form and your child would like to be involved then please do click on the link within the email.  As I have mentioned, if your child is in Year 7 or 8, they may be asked to support a particular department on that evening – they will be given a separate letter over the coming days so that you can give your consent as necessary.

Thank you, in advance, to your and your children for supporting with this important day in the school calendar.

Supporting Young Carers

At Sweyne Park, we are committed to ensuring that every pupil feels supported and is able to thrive. We know that some pupils may also have caring responsibilities at home, perhaps supporting a parent, carer or sibling with an illness, disability, mental health condition or additional needs.

These pupils are known as young carers, and it is important that we are aware of them so that we can offer appropriate support when needed.

Parents and carers have recently received an email with further information about young carers, the support available both in and outside school, and how to let us know if you think your child may be a young carer.

We would encourage all parents and carers to take a few moments to read this email. By helping us to identify young carers, you can help us ensure that they receive the understanding and support they need to flourish at school.

And Finally….

Have a great weekend.

What do you do when you're not in school?

We would love to hear about your hobbies, interests and achievements...

If you have any stories and/or photos that you would like to share, please contact us at pupilservices@sweynepark.com
