How To Apply

If your child attends the Sweyne Park School you will need to apply to Essex County Council. It doesn’t matter where you actually live.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible to receive/claim free school meals you must be receiving one of the following:

  • Income support or income-based Job Seekers Allowance.
  • Child Tax Credit with an annual taxable income of less than £16,190.
  • Pension Guarantee Credit; income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

You are not eligible if you receive any amount of Working Tax Credit.

Free Meals

For those students entitled to Free School Meals, their account will be loaded daily with the amount of a meal deal – currently this is £2.50.

Accounts can be loaded with additional monies but the system will always use the free school meal fund first.
