Social Media Launch

I am delighted to announce the launch of our new Facebook page where we will be sharing achievements, successes and signposts to important information.  This will not replace the weekly Sweyne Park Times but will include a link to each edition with the aim of reaching a wider audience of our parent body.  Please follow us at “The Sweyne Park School” and if your child has anything they would like to share about their hobbies and/or interest outside of school, please do forward a few a few short lines and photos to us at pupilservices@sweynepark.com

Goodbye to Miss Bingley

I am sorry to be saying goodbye to Miss Bingley today as she leaves to pursue a new career in the care sector.  I know this has been a difficult decision for Miss Bingley and that she will be missed by the many pupils she has supported so well since she joined us.  However, I am sure you will all join me in wishing her every happiness and success in the future.  We are in the process of advertising for a new Assistant Head of Year and I will, of course, let you know once we appoint.

Student Leadership Team 2024

This week saw a Panel comprised of Mrs Welch, Deputy Headteacher, Miss Banks, Head of Sixth Form and Ms Chawner, one of our Local Governors, interview an extremely strong field of candidates for our Student Leadership Team.  All of the candidates conducted themselves in a mature, professional and considered manner and this presented the Panel with some tough decisions. However, after an extremely rigorous selection process, I am delighted to announce our Student Leadership Team for 2024 are:

Abigail B,  Melissa C,  Daisy D, Kessia H, Daniel N, Ruby M and Jay T.

Congratulations to them all!  We are all very confident that our new Team will continue the excellent work of previous cohorts, and work hard to represent their peers and drive forward on a number of interesting projects.  Watch this space!

And Finally….

Have a wonderful Easter and I hope you all get to relax and spend some quality time with your friends and family.

We will look forward to welcoming all our pupils and students back to Sweyne Park at the usual time of 8.35am on Monday 15th April 2024.
