We are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity to join The Sweyne Park School as a Thinking Reading Tutor to develop and deliver a bespoke reading intervention programme and activities to support individuals or small groups of students to develop their reading skills, under the guidance and direction of the Literacy Coordinator/SLT link.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for education and a strong commitment to improving student learning outcomes and who recognise the importance of reading ability in enabling academic and personal success. The ideal candidate will be able to provide support, encouragement, and feedback to help students build their confidence and overcome obstacles to their learning.
We are excited to be embarking on a journey with our students and ‘Thinking Reading’. A comprehensive training programme will be available to support the suitable candidate to successfully use the diagnostic tools and resources provided by Thinking Reading.

The Role
Under the guidance and direction of the SLT link and the literacy coordinator, you will deliver bespoke reading intervention program (Thinking Reading) and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, as required.

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3:30pm including a 30-minute unpaid rest break.
Term time only. 39 weeks per year.
Renumeration
Scale 5 Point 9 (Range Point 9 to 12) £23,365per annum (£27,254 FTE)
