As you will be aware, in order to improve attendance and communication with families we have, this week, introduced an automated text messaging service. As a reminder, if your child is absent from morning registration and we have not received a reason, you may receive a text asking you to contact the Attendance Team. This will help us respond more quickly to unexplained absences and reduce the need for first-day absence phone calls. During the initial trial, we accept that there may occasionally be messages sent in error if registers are updated after the text is generated. If this happens, please accept our apologies and contact us so we can update our records.
Please continue to report absences as early as possible by calling 01268 780293 or emailing pupilabsence@sweynepark.com. Thank you for your continued support in helping us promote excellent attendance.

I am delighted to share that Ms Ferguson will be taking on the role of Head of Science
I am pleased to see that the weather is forecast to be much cooler next week. That being the case, all pupils and students will be expected to be back in full school uniform for the last few days of the summer term.
I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 we will welcome our new Year 7 pupils and our Year 12 students to Sweyne Park. From Thursday 3rd September 2026 the school will be open to all pupils and students expected on site, “Ready to Learn” at 8.30 am.
