Please can I ask parents/carers to drive and park responsibly when dropping off and collecting your children from school. We place great value on our relationship with our neighbours and ask that you always park with care and consideration in the surrounding roads.
In particular, please be mindful not to park in a way that causes an obstruction, blocks the driveways of local residents, or restricts access to the surrounding area for the school bus, which has unfortunately arrived late on a number of occasions recently due to access being blocked.
I am pleased to share the details of a very important event being organised and hosted by The FitzWimarc School in partnership with Essex Police and other local school.
The event forms part of a community-wide approach to supporting parents and carers and ensuring we are all better informed about the risks our young people may face locally.
The session will be led by Jennie Read, Gangs and Drugs Line Officer. The aim of the event is to help schools and parents to understand exploitation risks, drug-related harm and how young people can become vulnerable.
The session will take place at the FitzWimarc School at 5.30pm on Wednesday 11th March. If you would like to attend this important event which, given the nature of the content being discussed, is for adults only.
Please click here to secure your place before 2nd March.
