I hope you all enjoyed a great summer. I am delighted to welcome you and your children back to Sweyne Park for the new academic year, which promises to be just as busy and exciting as last year with some fantastic opportunities already in the pipeline! I would also like to take the opportunity to welcome new parents/carers to our school community.
I am very proud to take on the role as Acting Headteacher and will continue to drive forward on our priorities, which you can find on our website, to ensure that all our pupils and students are happy, safe and achieve the very best possible outcomes during their time with us. I am very much looking forward to working with you all over the coming years to support your child’s progress as well as their wider education.

I wanted to remind you that you can obtain help to access a number of online platforms that we use in school by visiting our Help Centre on our website, simply click the “Help” button on the top left-hand side of the home screen.
In particular, for anyone struggling to access Go4Schools, there is a very useful “how to” guide available. Alternatively you can click here and you will be directed to the relevant page for Go4Schools support.
Whilst our IT Team are always very happy to help with any technical queries, you will find answers to a lot of FAQs within the documents contained in our online Help Centre and so it is always worth a quick look before contacting us.
Please can I ask parents/carers to drive and park responsibly when dropping off/collecting your children from school.
We place great value on our relationship with our neighbours and ask that you always park with care and consideration in the surrounding roads. In particular, please do be mindful of not parking so as cause an obstruction and/or to block the driveways of local residents.
This week the bus collecting our pupils and students at the end of the day has struggled to access the bus bay due to the number of cars parked along both sides of the road.
I am aware that there are road works at the top of Sir Walter Raleigh Drive, which are causing some congestion and so I would ask that you are mindful of this and do not park so as to obstruct the bus. Thank you, in advance, for your ongoing support.
Enjoy the better weather over the weekend and thank you to everyone for a successful first week of school.
