Ensuring Pupils are on Time

As the weather grows gradually worse in the run up to the winter months, many of you might choose to drop off your young people by car.

As the roads become inevitably busier over this time, please do remember that lessons begin at 8.35am so pupils and students must be outside no later than 8.30am to give themselves enough time to make their way to their classroom.

Our Help Centre

I wanted to remind you that you can obtain help to access a number of online platforms that we use in school by visiting our Help Centre on our website, simply click the “Help” button on the top left-hand side of the home screen.

In particular, for anyone struggling to access Go4Schools, there is a very useful “how to” guide available.  Alternatively you can click here and you will be directed to the relevant page for Go4Schools support.

Whilst our IT Team are always very happy to help with any technical queries, you will find answers to a lot of FAQs within the documents contained in our online Help Centre and so it is always worth a quick look before contacting us.

Free School Meals

As you may be aware, parents on low incomes, and receiving certain benefits, are entitled to claim Free School Meals for their child(ren). Full details, and an application form, are available online at www.essex.gov.uk/free-school-meals.

Alternatively, if you think you may be eligible, but want to find out more, please do ring Pupil Services at the school, and they will be happy to advise you and help with an application. If your claim is successful, a set amount will be credited to your child’s account in our cashless catering system, which ensures anonymity. It is well worth having – even if your child only uses it to buy a drink/snack to supplement a packed lunch!

And Finally…..

Enjoy the weekend

Notice: Choir Rehearsals

All funds raised will be donated to the Royal Life Saving Society, who have agreed upon completion, to come into the school and deliver CPR training to as many students as possible with the aim of providing our young people with the confidence to act effectively if they were ever faced with such a situation.
