This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of PE/Health and Fitness to join a forward-looking 11 – 19 school as a fixed term, maternity cover PE Teacher. The Sweyne Park School is the lead school within the Rayleigh Schools Trust and works with a local primary school, providing a 3 – 19 educational experience for the local community. The successful applicant will have excellent subject knowledge, the ability to inspire students and a desire to develop as a teacher.

Teachers in the PE department work as a strong team, sharing resources and developing excellent practice together. This role offers the opportunity to work with enthusiastic, supportive and committed colleagues.

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and uphold the values of the profession.
  • Hold qualified teacher status. However, applications from ECT’s are also welcome to apply and will be considered for this role.

  • Demonstrate a passion for specialist subject area.
  • Have enthusiasm for learning and education and show the ability to inspire this in others.
