Results Days

This year, A-Level Results Day is on Thursday 18th August, with GCSE Results Day, the following week, on Thursday 25th August.   The school will be open at the following times for pupils/students to collect their results in person.

Thursday 18th August

Year 13 students:             8.30 am – 9.30 am

Year 12 students:             9.30 am – 10.00 am

Thursday 25th August

Year 11 pupils:                   9.00 am – 10.00 am

There will be follow-up support available on and after both of these important days

Results not collected during the above time will be posted to candidates the same day.

Please note that, we cannot confirm results by telephone.

Collection of results other than by the candidate concerned, must be by a named adult and covered by a letter of authorisation from the candidate, including a contact telephone number on which they can be reached in order to confirm collection arrangements.

Snapchat

Please do be aware that Snapchat has a new feature called “Meet up”.  It means that people can view where other users of the App are, and get directions to their location, without users being notified.

Please remind your children that they should:

  • Only be friends in Snapchat with people they know and trust offline.
  • Set their Snap Map setting to ‘Ghost Mode’ so their location isn’t visible to other users

Cannabis Edibles

We have been asked again by Essex Police to share this link to their campaign to raise awareness of the danger of cannabis edibles, which are increasingly being offered to young people across the country.  These products are extremely dangerous and so please do take the time to read the information, and to discuss it with your child.

Certificates and Coursework

Certificates and any coursework other than Art, may be collected from the school provisionally on the evening of Wednesday 24th November 2022 from 3.30pm until 4.30pm.

If the collection of certificates is likely to be by somebody other than the candidate, they must bring a letter of authorisation, signed by the candidate.

Please check on the website nearer the time, in case we have cause to change the date.

Artwork will be available for collection after the Art Exhibition, from January 2023 onwards. The Art Department will email parents/carers with information regarding collection.

And Finally….

May I take the opportunity to wish you and your families a very happy and restful summer break, and to thank you for all of your support throughout the year.

Whilst I will try not to interrupt your holiday, please do keep an eye on our website and on your emails for any urgent updates. I am not expecting to have to contact you, but recent experience dictates that you just never know!!!

We will look forward to welcoming:

  •  Year 7 pupils and Year 12 students back to school on Friday 2nd September
  • all other pupils and students on Monday 5th September at the normal time of 8.35 am.

Do take care, and best wishes.
