Vaccinations

Parents and Carers of pupils aged between 12 – 15 years will have been sent a copy of a letter from the NHS concerning the Government’s ongoing vaccination programme. The letter includes a link to the requisite consent form that parents/carers should complete and submit as soon as possible.  A copy of the letter can be found on our website by clicking here.

Queen’s Jubilee Bank Holiday

Further to my headline in an early September edition of the Sweyne Park Times, we are having to move the additional day, allocated to schools to take account of the fact that the extra bank holiday falls within half term.  You will remember that we initially scheduled Friday 27th May to mark this occasion.  However, on publication of the external Examination Timetable, there are four GCSE exams timetabled for that day.  Therefore, we have had to move our additional day to Friday 29th April.  I apologise for any inconvenience caused, especially given that we are no longer able to coincide with our local primary schools.

Attendance and Punctuality

Given the amount of face-to-face teaching that all pupils and students have lost as a result of the pandemic, it is vital that pupils attend school, and are punctual to registration and all of their lessons.  I would be grateful if you would please spend some time discussing the importance of attendance and punctuality with your children.  This is vital for the smooth running of their day, and also an important life skill which will prepare them for their future life in the world of work.

And Finally …

Enjoy your weekend.
