Since I wrote to you at the beginning of the week, we have been planning the practical details regarding our pupils’ and students’ return to school. We continue to liaise closely with Essex County Council and local schools, as well as digesting the daily updates from the Department for Education (DfE). Once our arrangements have been finalised I will write to you again, however these are likely to include the phased return of pupils to facilitate the requirement to test pupils and students prior to their full time return to school. Please do keep an eye on your emails for important updates.
We fully recognise that this further period of school closure will have had an impact on all of our pupils and student, and for some more than others. Heads of Year and senior staff have been actively monitoring and evaluating both attendance and engagement in learning, during this time, to identify where further support may be required. For everyone, the return will mean reconnecting with face-to-face learning and settling back into a structured routine. In order to ease this transition back to school, next week there will be two tutor group sessions and a year group assembly around wellbeing. Please do encourage them to attend these sessions and take part.
THE COUSINS

“The Story family are rich, beautiful & glamourous. But they are abruptly disinherited by their mother with a single sentence:
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID.
Decades later, cousins Aubrey, Milly & Jonah Story receive a mysterious invitation to spend the summer at their grandmother’s resort. They’re determined to find out why and discover the truth. But some secrets are better left alone….”
This is an excellent, fast-paced thriller with intrigue, mystery, danger and family!
By the author of One of Us is Lying, One of Us is Next and Two Can Keep a Secret, this is her best yet!
