Year 10 Celebration Evening/Prefect Presentation

On Tuesday we hosted our Year 10 Awards evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the superb efforts of our Year 10 pupils for their hard work in school, excellent attendance and for their contributions to the community.

The event was also an opportunity to award over 80 pupils with their prestigious Prefect ties and badges, recognising their status as excellent role models for the rest of the school.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event.

Allergies

Please note that due to some of our pupils and staff having a nut allergy/intolerance we politely request that your child does not bring nuts (or products containing nuts) into school.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this.

Year 11 Prom

Last night saw our Year 11 pupils celebrating the end of their exams at their Prom at the Rayleigh Club.

I know that all of the Year Team who went along thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate with our Year 11 pupils in a relaxing and beautifully decorated environment.

While it was lovely to have the chance to mark the end of their Key Stage 4 journey, I really do hope that we will see many of our Year 11s back with us in September in our Sixth Form.

We are in the process of collating all of the photographs and will include a collage next week of all of the very smart looking Year 11s!

End of Term Arrangements

I wanted to remind you that the summer term will finish on Friday 19th July.

Unlike in previous years, pupils will be expected to wear full school uniform.  School will finish early at 12.30 pm.

Reading Game with Year 7

Congratulations to Seb who was the overall winner in this year’s Reading Game with Year 7.
Seb’s winning adjective (which had to describe either a front cover, blurb or start of one of the books they were judging) was ‘demonic’.

Seb was presented with a certificate, chocolates and an Amazon voucher – well done Seb!
