As you may recall from a previous Sweyne Park Times, we are currently developing a Charter to accredit key skills which employers and colleges are all telling us are important for later success, such as motivation, communication skills, excellent attendance, etc. Later this month we will be launching this Charter with pupils in Year 11 and pupils will be able to achieve accreditation at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. To ensure the certification is rigorous, the whole process will be quality assured by Petroplus. The Charter is also supported by Essex Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses, and the final Certificates should therefore carry real clout for our pupils if successful.
