As part of our commitment to securing pupil success, we believe that every individual should be recognised and rewarded for positive actions, both in lessons and out of lessons.

At Sweyne Park School, merit marks are awarded for effort in every aspect of school life, for example classwork, contributions to areas such as music, drama, sport, and being a good citizen.

Merit marks are recorded by pupils in their pupil planners and when pupils gain 7 merit marks, a praise postcard is produced to take home. As pupils accumulate postcards, they can win bronze, silver and gold badges. A large number of reward trips are arranged for pupils who try hard. Achievements are also celebrated at assemblies, Awards Evenings and in our weekly Sweyne Park Times.
