Art
This lesson is brilliant because we get to draw, paint and use clay. We learn many different techniques and get to use them in our work. You can be really creative like making imaginary animals. If your work is particularly good it gets displayed in the school and in Rayleigh library.

D & T Resistant Materials
In this lesson you will have the chance to make lots of exciting things with different types of materials.

Drama
This lesson is really good fun. In this lesson you will learn not to be shy in front of your friends and you will be able to act really well after a few lessons. You also get the chance to be involved in the school show.

English
During the lessons you have English you may write stories, do comprehension, read and maybe do projects. These lessons are fun. We have read some really good books like Treasure Island and Boy.

Geography
Geography is a good lesson and you learn a lot. We get to learn a lot about the world and all its different places. We not only learn about places but also about the structure of towns. It is really interesting.

IT (Information Technology)
In this lesson we learn how to use the computer and all its accessories like Excel, Publisher and Word. There are lots of computers in school..

Languages (French and German)
Bonjour! In these lessons you learn a lot, not just about the language but the country as well. You also get the chance to go on a day trip to France in Year 7.

Mathematics
In this lesson you learn so many things. We get to learn about percentages, algebra and many other things. We can also use computer programs to help us.

Music
In this lesson you will learn many things including drones, time signatures, how to read notes, how to make up a composition and how to use keyboards. You can take extra music lessons to learn an instrument. There is also the choir, Junior players and the orchestra to join if you enjoy music.

PE (Physical Education)
In this lesson you learn how to do many sports like swimming, netball and football. Boys and girls usually do PE separately and depending on what you like you should certainly enjoy some activities. There are lots of Eduction Extra clubs in just about every sport.

CPE (Citizenship and Personal Education)
In this lesson you learn about many things about your safety, such as smoking and first aid and current affairs issues. You get taught lots of things and it is really interesting.

RE (Religious Education)
These lessons are really fun as you get to learn about all the different religions of the worlds. We also get told the different religious stories and myths.

Science
When you have Science lessons you will do something different every week. You will be able to use Bunsen burners and many other things that are really good in a big Science lab. It is fun because you see things from pigs lungs to fizzing potassium.

Science and Society
As we are now a 'Science School', we have a lesson where we look at the ways Science is important in our lives today.

Textiles and Food Technology
This Technology is excellent because it has a lot of practical activities and you get to make things and take them home. In Textiles you can make either a cushion or an apron. You learn how to use a sewing machine and you learn about different materials. In Food Technology you get to make things like fruit salads and cakes. You also get to learn about the cooker. These lessons are really good to do.
