All the year 6 pupils assemble in the Hall and are sorted into their tutor groups. Then the Head of Year 7 and the Head Teacher give a short talk about how the school works and what they expect from the new pupils.

Soon you are in your new tutor rooms with your new Form Tutor and your special prefects. You will meet new friends, find out about the rest of the day and what will happen in September.

You will be given a tour of the school with a map to help you. You will be taken to your first two exciting lessons at Sweyne Park; it may be IT, French, Geography or Maths.

Next is lunchtime. You have your own early lunchtime with Year 7 pupils.

The afternoon starts back in the Hall where you may have a musical performance and a talk by the prefects. The Head of Maths, Science and English will tell you a little about their subjects and the Head of Year will introduce the Summer Challenge. This is full of activities related to the lessons in September.

Finally, you spend half an hour back with your Form Tutor; s/he will answer your questions and give you a welcome booklet to help you organise yourself for your exciting first day in September.
