How much home learning is there? Will I cope?

You will probably get 2-4 pieces of home learning a night. The home learning is usually based on what you did in class. The home learning in Year 7 should take you at least half-an-hour for each subject.

Sometimes you might get stuck but you have the opportunity to go to a home learning club where a teacher will help you. Each evening after school there is a home learning club in Learning Development where you go for extra help.

If you want to do your home learning in school, probably the best place to do it would be in the library . If you do your home learning at home it is best to make sure you work in a quiet place with lots of light and a clear desk or working area.

There is also a geography and maths home learning club when the teacher will be there to help you.

Our library is a peaceful environment and is available for every pupil to use. Home learning is not as you think, it can even be enjoyable and can give your schoolwork an extra boost.
