QUALIFICATIONS:

There are several routes for accreditation in Science, outlined in greater detail elsewhere in this site. Please see the appropriate pathway section for details.

The following information is a short summary:

 

TRADITIONAL PATHWAY:

science
  1. GCSE Double Science - Core in year 10 and Additional Science in year 11. Usually sets T1b, T2a and b.

  2. GCSE Triple Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics - usually set T1a.

The above are suitable for pupils who intend studying A/AS levels in Science.

  1. National Certificate in Science - a more practical approach with no external examination. 100% portfolio work.
  2. National Award in Science - a more practical approach with no external examination. 100% portfolio work.

INTEGRATED & FLEXIBLE PATHWAY:
