At a recent Governing Body Meeting, the Governors of The Sweyne Park School unanimously agreed to submit a proposal to the Department for Education to change the age range of The Sweyne Park School from an 11-16 organisation to an 11-18 school. The main reasons for this are parental
demand and the recent Government change on the raising of the participation age. This application
would be subject to the school successfully converting to become an Academy and to approval from the Secretary of State.
